2.7 planets and a side of guilt, please.
"Somehow, through my online meanderings I happened upon myfootprint.org, which has a personal carbon footprint test. The first time I took the test I scored a “12”, and was told “IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON. WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON. IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 2.7 PLANETS.” Ever since then, I’ve been making sure that unused appliances and electronics are turned off and unplugged and in my dreams I’ve been building solar-powered houses and ecovillages."

You know what I find interesting? The one question that seems to be missing from this quiz is: how many children do you have?

it does ask how many people live in your house.

isn't that more important?

Not necessarily. I think that choosing to have children adds to the ecological burden on the planet. If I had two kids with me in my apartment, according to this little quiz I'd be making better use of the planet's resources, even though my decision adds to the net burden on the earth's resources. That doesn't make much sense to me.
